Sebastian

My son Sebastian is 4 years old. He was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2½ years. I was shocked, sad and scared of the new challenges I was forced with. I remember, after about a week of crying myself to sleep, I got to work to find out what it was I needed to do for him.

I emerged myself into the world of autism and began to educate myself on everything related to this disorder. That's when I discovered Behavior Analysis, Inc. I started my son with about 20 hours of ABA a week. I knew this was not a race but a marathon. Sebastian, before he started with Behavior Analysis, Inc. was not verbal, would not make eye contact and had many repetitive behaviors.
Little by little, he started making sounds, then began saying words. Now, Sebastian is a different child. He is no longer in his own little world. Now, he is in my world. He is talking in sentences, engages and plays with his brothers. He even expresses and understands emotions.
I'm so glad I decided to take this approach and didn't waste any money or precious time. Since then, the Association for Pediatrics has confirmed that early intervention is key in children with Autism and my son Sebastian is living proof.
